I like this use for sensors. This in combination with the stable
platform bonus makes the PDAF/ADAF very effective missiles killers. I
might even go a little further and give the bonus to the C batteries used in
fighter or missile defence mode.

Now add the ECM jamming forcing a to hit role for the missile at terminal
guidance and stations are no longer sitting ducks for missile attacks. This
might even make the station to well defended.

The bonus to hit due to the sensors may only be applied if the sensors have
been assigned to point defence mode. They may not be used to scan enemy
vessels or burn through ECM. If the ECM on a ship had been burned through or
started the process must be started again from the beginning if the sensors
are retasked.

If anyone else has seen the MARS magazine article about Full Thrust, they have
an Aegis system that allows all beam batteries to be used against
missiles/fighters. This system with the stable platform bonus and/or
ECM
effects would be a _very_ effective missile defense.
