Okay, just got some new Ebay deals in SF microarmor. Some is GW Infantry
plastics (Pat C. of BMHGA contact me about helping me is what is GW and
what isn't please) and some 'Misc.' SF vehicles - trying to match
'turrets' and vehicles revealed that based on type of turret (including stud
to fit in mounting holes) there are no clear matches between # of
vehicles of one type and 'turret/weapons' of the a type. And further,
some of the unmarked ones seem to be exact matches on details (like wheel
design) as a few clearly marked "Ral Partha"! R.P. made SF micro-armor?
I'll take that at face value for now but does anyone know where there are
pictures of these "Ral Partha" SF micro-armor vehicles so I can try and
match base vehicle and turret?
Learn something new everyday...
Gracias,
Ral Partha did the Battletech gropos along with the 'mechs.
Plenty places on the net to find these, including, if I remember correctly,
Iron Wind, the folks that were Ral Partha aside from the office folk.

It would have been Battletech mini's IIRC, so try googling on those terms
along with 'Ral Partha' there's a decent chance somebody has the old mini's on
a website someplace...
Didn't find ANY. Sigh.
Several pictures were missing - wheeled like some of my figures. Also
found some more enscribed words on a couple of low, wide tracked vehicles
with 'point on middle of a mid-point "x" mounting' (which two of the
'weapons pod looking' things might sit on - wors were "S.J. Games" ! So
another day it's off to Steve Jackson Gamers for a peek.

*Dopey moi!*
Ral Partha also did Ogre and associated tanks and grav vehicles!

*whoops*
As a side note, some of the designs were cast by SJG as is, some were
re-worked. You might have to visit an archive site, like Stuff of
Legends to get the old designs.

Glenn,
Grab a digital camera, lay 'em out and put the images on your web site. I'm
sure that between us, the others on this list can help to sort them
out. :)

Actually, the Ral Partha and SJG vehicles for OGRE were pretty close, all
being based on the same original artwork. The only things that SJG did
(other than the one-piece Combine light tank) was to modify minor
details. The base shapes stayed the same. If it's OGRE stuff, I can ID it for
you.

LOL! I don't have a digital camera but perhaps I can make do with my old
35 mm antique and Wal-mart CDs.

I've sent you a 1.12 Meg file of all the Ogre vehicles (apart from Ogres). See
if any look familiar.

You can also try out http://www.ironwindmetals.com/ , as these are the
guys who picked up all the molds and stuff from Ral Partha when they went
down. They should have images of all the BT minis, as well as whatever else
they picked up.
Sorry, only text goes intact to warbeads@Juno.com - if you want to send
pictures it needs to go to warbeads@aol.com...
