Anyone on this list play Full thrust in or around the Minneapolis Minnesota
area? You guys have got me really curious to play the game, but I have been
stung too many times buying games before I have tried them! Anyway if anyone
here is or knows anyone in the area who wouldn't mind getting together to try
it out I would appreciate it!

A check on the GZG Player Locator Page indicates two people in Minnesota [are
signed up to the page; no guarantees, however, that
their information is still current :-/ ]. Check out:

I have talked to Kevin already and he is interested in getting together at
some point! I forgot to ask if he played FT though! Anyway, I will sign up on
your list as well! I am hoping that if I can learn the systems and get some
armies built up quick enough here I can start doing some demos at the local
gaming stores and getting people interested.

You must be getting impatient Jason, 'Con of the North' is only a few days
away and it has a couple FT games scheduled so you will get your game in soon.
You should be able to get some contact information on other players there too.

I almost decided to go to CotN, but other commitments got in the way.

Heh, Kevin won the Full Thrust Tournement a few years ago at GenCon. He
plays FT ;-)

I don't know the next time I will get to the Cities, but if you are still
interested, I'll let you know when it happens and maybe we could convince
Kevin to drive up for a larger battle.

Dean, your making me cry here man! I had originally planned to be at CoN all
weekend but we just bought a new car and some pet expenses have limited our
visit to Friday night!!! so I will miss the FT demos there! However Hopefully
there will be some stuff going on at Origins, since my wife and I plan on
driving down for that one!

Thanks Jason

However

Too often life gets in the way of Fantasy (or Science Fiction).

Origins? You should go to GenCon. ;-)
Go to the lakes and have fun on the 4th. Wait couple weeks and then go to
Indianapolis - its bigger convention and closer too. ;-)

Origins has had some FT and other GZGs in the past, but I think it has been
pretty bare lately. I'll be at GenCon running some games and it should have
good selection of GZG events available.

It's a possibility for sure. My wife and I having figured out CoN wasn't going
to work for us, have been discussing going to one or the other. A bunch of
local friends are doing Origins but I would actually still like to do Gen Con.
Ah well, we shall see!

I may be going to both, definitely GenCon though. All that driving
though...seesh.

You'd be more than welcome to try some PBeM Full Thrust to help gain some
experience. Taking on Kevin would seem a bit intimidating for your first
games! You'd learn quickly as he hands you your head.

Thanks for the feedback John! I will definitely check it out, I don't mind
having my head handed to me, as long as, well, it is given back to
me....I
need it...
