I am building some urban terrain for my StarGrunt battles and have plans to
use this terrain for WWII and modern battles as well.
My question is this: is there a company that is making 25mm modern warfare
figures? I just received some samples of WWII figs from Battle Honors and will
probably go with them for that period (they are quite nice), but they don't
seem to make modern (1980s to present) NATO vs. Warsaw Pact figs. Obviously,
as I am using SG2 rules I am mainly in need of infantry, but a few vehicles in
this scale would be nice too.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Not quite waht you seem to be after but how about

Head over to Grandiosity at http://www.warweb.com . They have a LARGE
selection of historical minis in all sizes. If someone makes a 25 mm modern I
would bet they would have it.

The Miniatures Page just had a note about a company called The Assault Group.
They make some modern 28mm figures (Afghan and US). Here's their website:

Hope it helps.

You could slog through the vendor list & their websites from the Cold Wars
convention this past weekend. I know I saw what looked like modern
25mm or 28mm figures in the dealer hall.

The dealer info starts on page 55 of the program.
Only one I can think of at the moment is Devil dog design
http://www.devildogdesign.com/ I've seen others at various times but
can't for the life of me remember where.

Thanks to all who posted a response to my query about 25mm NATO vs. Warsaw
Pact figures!
Devil Dogs Design does appear to be my best bet for this period, although
their stuff is very modern (recent Afghan conflict, etc)... is anyone out
there really painting al Qaeda figures?

I have seen websites and magazine articles with Mujahedeen figures against
Russians. It would just be a matter of changing the enemy side.
Greetings Karl Heinz
Why yes, as a matter of fact I am painting Al Quaeda figures. Granted, they
are in 6mm and will be used in either DSII or as my Stargrunt II 6mm demo, but
still, I am painting them up...
