Subject: Maize and Sunflowers

Hello everybody

I've recently read some (WWII) battle accounts where fields of man-high
crops featured prominently, specifically Sunflowers and Maize (Indian Corn)

Any ideas on how to model these for 1/300 - 6 mm scale ?

A piece of appropriately colored corduroy cloth would work pretty nicely.
