After some thought on the subject of magnetic mounts for common game
counters...

I think I have it!

First go out and locate something called a portfolio binder. The ones I have
seen, are two translucent plastic sheets, with a long plastic clip to push on
one edge. (You put your report or whatever in between the plastic sheets, and
then slide it into the long clip. Instint binder!)

If you cut the plastic clip into 1/4 inch or so lenghts, and then glue
them down to a magnet. Presto! a simple and cheap counter clip.

The only drawback I can think of, is if the plastic clip material is a solid
color, then it will cover up some of the writing on the counter...

There is a local company (Shield Laminating) that manufactures magnetic
counter holders in 2 sizes 1/2" and 7/16" (I think). I will look and see
if they have a national or world wide distributer for this product. They are
VERY nice in that there is a designated Up side and Down side taking polarity
into account. This allows you to place the counters, touching edge to edge or
even stack them 8 to 12 counters high!
