A few questions:
Is the HML have arcs, or are they more like fighters bays with the Heavy
Missile having the ability to angle away from launch ship...
Oher than that they seem somewhat like the old MT missiles, which are are easy
for PDF to shootdown in a 1 on 1, bu where they get there own is in Mass
Strikes on Targets t overload the PDF systems...

Hooya, a fellow missler. Lots of big problems to dodge.

You're thinking of http://home.quixnet.net/~deboe/ft/ifships.htm ? The
intent was to have HML be analogous to SML, so I'd say they do have arcs.

Right -- one HM at a time is a waste unless you have something else
going in at the same time to distract PDS.

Speaking as someone who watched his poor heavy cruiser get hit by 10 Heavy
missiles (8 normal, 2 long lance), yeah, overloading the PDS is the way to go.

That much on a cruiser (even a heavy) could be termed overkill.

Well I was looking at the ones here...
http://home.quixnet.net/deboe/ft/ifships_v3.htm But they seem to open
to
the same page.. go figure
what are the arc.. 1 or are they like SML 3 arc.. all the ship design just
show a single Missile with no arcs shown...

Copies of the same file.

That's because I don't believe in missile launchers, so those are HMR
(racks).

Which leads to amusing games whenever LL faces the FSE. As they launch their
missiles, he desperately attempts to roll for disbelief, momentarily
forgetting this is FT, not DnD...
:-D

"Desperately"? I just say "Roll a one" when he's determining how many
missiles lock on, and 5/6 of his missiles disappear. ;-)
So what should the Arc of the HM be? Are the the same 3 arc as SML,
and do Racks have same 3 arcs two?

AFAIK, yes.
