My first experience with Stargrunt came after the usual suspects. We first
tried 40K... too expensive and unrealistic... then came Warzone... nice, but
prone to abuse in the gamers hands. Stargrunt was next, but we didn't miss a
beat buying new figures since all our old stuff worked just fine.
As for cheap figures, you can't beat the clearance racks at Wal-
Mart. One friend of mine bought a military playset with buildings, vehicles
and about 25 figures, enough for a platoon for less than
$10.

Hi Yves,
I quote from your site: "Stargrunt II is made by Ground Zero Games. This is a
very good hard SF skirmish game. This is written by someone who has a good
military background."
er.... no! As far as I am aware Jon T. has never served in any military
capacity!

Oops! Just found out that background means knowledge gained by experience. I

Ah... just didn't want people to get the wrong idea about Jon, that was
all....
Your site is very nice and your English is pretty good - well done!
BTW, where are you - France? Canada?

Hmmm...I wonder if you guys are close enough to join the yearly Canadian
contingent at ECC in Lancaster?
There is a Canadian contingent isn't there?:)

That group comes from the Ottawa region in Ontario. It's probably about the
same length of drive to get to Lancaster.
I'll be sending out the call for events soon. ECC VII is six months away.

Thanks.
I'm from Quebec, Canada. There is at least 3 other people here who play GZG
games. Those are people I had converted to the light side. The only problem is
distance: One is at a 3 hours drive, the other at 1 hour and the last is in
the same city, but heavily tainted by GW.
