Snap. So would my 2 sons. We'd be especially interested if it was _west_
London-ish, near the M4 somewhere. The further west, the better -- for
us, at least.

Are you thinking of a small one-off meeting like the GZG-ECC or a
semi-regular club-type get together?

Hmm, really? So Wales or the Mid-Atlantic would be ideal for you
then? ;-)

Assuming we are talking London UK (M4 reference says we are) I'm game
- impending fatherhood permitting. However, just in the interests of
geographical balance,I shall pull your west request back towards the east
(central London's as easy as anywhere).

I hadn't thought beyond the intital meet, really - althought it would be

nice to have a regular bash dedicated to SF. I ran a club for WH, 40k, etc for
three years and I am loathe to get that committed again. However, I think if
the right location is found (and I am already investigating a venue) and
enough dedicated souls are willing, a monthly

meet of sorts is not impossible. An annual event require a lot more
thought & planning (I know this for a fact - KILLJOY's :THE IMMACULATE

CONVENTION in 1994 was pretty much my baby). It all depends on
finance,interest, and timing.

So, ..
Assuming the dice came up 6's on everything and I organise it, are there

any GM's out there who would be willing to give their all and run games
?

Central London venues tend to be pretty pricey if they're big. How would you
go about publicising this? This list... ads in games shops... ads in
magazines? What sort of attendance numbers are you thinking of?

Or would it be a "get the London list members together in the back room
of a pub and see what happens"? (I'm not objecting to this - in fact, I
think it would be a good way to start, getting a core group of organisers
together.)

Sure... FT/MT only, I haven't got into the others yet...

I'm interested - depending on location and timeframes. I'm in
Aldershot, so if it's in London, I'm looking at an hours travel
time (by train - driving into London is _not_ my idea of fun),
so it'd have to be a good long bash to make it worthwhile.

OTOH, if people want it west of London, we have a hall we use for gaming in
Aldershot (where the Alder Valley Gaming Society meets), and things are pretty
dead at the moment, so plenty of room for a few FT games.

Well, I wasn't too keen on organising the event itself, although I thought it
a JOLLY good idea, but now that you've bitten the bullet, I'd be happy to run
a game or two and maybe act as an overall umpire(?)
