I was just thinking about suggesting this!~

agree with all the above.

Seriously, though, I haven't noticed a thread on this.

On the other hand we have had Southerners crying "Long live the Confederacy"
and other people espousing their own region--and I think it would be
impossible to stop this ("Hey, I'm talking about the New Confederate Stars
here") and stifling to try.

I don't think any subject should be banned. Why? Because all of the suggested
banned topics are relevent for background material from which scenarios,
etc.,
can be made. Ok, maybe not GW, but they are relevent to anyone considering
building a minitures fleet, army, etc...
I do think that the focus of all discusions should be related to GZG games.
> I don't think any subject should be banned.
I agree, the banned list was tongue in cheek ;-0 but those topics were
what in the list's history have sparked the prettiest fireworks and worst
abuse. What I class as religious wars subjects. Where virtually any post
advocating one side or the other is going to cause a list storm.
> Ok, maybe not GW, but they are relevent to anyone considering
yes but the endless advocacy wars on any subject are pointless
> I do think that the focus of all discusions should be related
This *is* the original list's charter, did something change.
This wasn't a serious suggestion to ban things, just to highlight the well
known volatile nature of some subject topics...
> Sex
Recently there were some posts in dubious taste. We don't know about peoples
sexuality or preferences or inadequacies, just take care, thats all.
> Politics
Yes, modern Left vs Right stuff.
> Religion
Remember Salmon Rushdie. Its probably best to make up religion for the future
history such as in DUNE rather than use modern live religions and perhaps
cause offence with crass comments. Basically don't diss the deity. Nuns with
guns we'll forgive
:-)

You missed a major US v UK ruck about 2 years ago. Plus several I hate
<country persons of your choice> type posts that had to be stomped on. It just
a sure fire troll subject.
> Computer operating systems
Mac vs PC mostly another troll fest.

Wasn't there some talk about the matting practices of the S'Vs?
