Guys N Gals,

Could those of you not on the digest please take a moment to do a couple of
things:

- If you reply to a long post, especially if it is only a few lines, FER
GAWD'S SAKE PLEASE CLIP THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE! I don't mind quoting of some key
part of a message you are replying to so that your reply has a context, but
blindly typing a few lines and hitting reply insures that the long original
message appears multiple times in the digest. THIS BITES!

- DISABLE HTML! Messages sent to this list should be plain-text format.
The digester does EVIL things with HTML. You end up getting any HTML format
message twice (and a pile of HTML tags added in just to make things very very
very ugly).

Things were good for a while, but I think some new listers and new mail
clients (or lost settings, or whatever) have resulted in VeryBadThings(TM) in
some recent digests.

Your cooperation is appreciated. Oh, and BTW, Digests really are the best way
to read the list, especially if you want to accumulate list traffic as an
archive.

Thomas,

I hope I haven't been inconveniencing you, sorry if I have been.

I switched from the Digest coz half of this list is of very little interst to
me, and the digest contains no index marks at all. And that and the high
volume of trafic on the list (no bad thing btw), means that i find individual
messages much easier to deal with.
