One more point.... you may note at

there is a rule for head to head rallying. This is another good reason for
your leader to be with his troops. If he's trying to rally over the platoon
push, he may find himself getting "bad reception" as scared soldiers beating
feet discover "radio malfunctions". So I award a bonus for face to face
rallying of troops. It is much harder to ignore the authority figure if he is
in your face than when he's talking to you via the comms....
