I really rarely use killfiles. It essentially means "The originator or topic
is so totally useless that there is zero chance they could ever contain
anything even remotely worthwhile."

using it elsewhere: almost nobody is so obnoxious as to be condemned without

I find killfiles best on threads that get out of hand. I haven't had to do it
recently, but there is the occaisonal topic, usually SG2, that is
on-topic, but doesn't interest me in the elast. That gets routed to
/dev/null.
