A friend of mine just bought some miniatures from
Iron Wind Metals (http://ironwindmetals.com) based
on the Clasic Battletech - Aerotech2 rules. The
ships were good and I suspect that they would fit into the GZG universe but
what interested me was the dropships.

What was interesting was that I could use the new miniatures for FT and then
switch over to some ships I've had (Union and Leopard class dropships) for
Dirtside. This would allow for a transition
between space->ground and ground->space games.

Now if I could setup the computer programs I could have a double blind game in
space and on the ground where scouting REALLY mattered. Hmmmmmm!

Eureka/GZG used to have a dropship available in both 25mm and 6mm (Sadly
no longer produced). Certainly makes an interesting centre piece, especially
in the middle of a 'mech battle.
