I'm in the final days of a move (@45 miles) and as part of it I have a good handle on the volume of my miniatures stuff. Try @ 12 cubic meters. That includes all of my reference books, figures, terrain (Geohex [@ 3 m3] and Dwarven Forge) and raw materials to make more (Sheet stryofoam, card stock, resin casting supplies, etc.).

I feel your pain, my mother-in-law is talking seriously (finally after too many years) about moving in next summer with us. Hmm, I suspect it's new house time...
