Free Sri Lanka sounds semi-plausible, for instance. other options would be to create corporate groups (we currently only have Texaco, ITTT and the VRC as real corporate powers) or a mercenary unit - i know someone was collecting them a while back. you could even create multiple loosely connected groups (a company, their rival and the mercenary units they've been using against each other for three generations). tom

Most of the other Alarishi companies (Forward Power, Imperial Tactical Technologies, et al) don't field many troops, though. How about ThyssenKrupp Raumsmarine IG (or AG, I don't recall which would be more appropriate and my German is very shaky anyway)? They'd build warships (which Thyssen does now) and powered armor, among other things. Thyssen certainly qualifies as a megacorp.

Jerry Han has set up a site for an GZG Encyclopedia Galactica at http://people.canoe.ca/jhan/ft/gzgpedia/. It is a jumping off point for people who want to invent nations for the GZG universe. As part of it, Nyrath has been kind enough to create a star chart of near-earth stars onto which we can map the GZG universe. The rent part was tongue-in-cheek. --- Brian Bell bkb@beol.net <mailto:bkb@beol.net> http://members.xoom.com/rlyehable/ft/ ICQ: 12848051 AIM: Rlyehable --- [quoted original message omitted]

> How about ThyssenKrupp Raumsmarine IG (or AG, I don't recall IIRC.... AG == Aktien Gesellschaft, or Stock (as in "Stocks and shares") Company. Meaning that it's traded on a stock exchange. You might be careful of using actual company names though - someone might object. Still, it's probably safe. Some German and other military firms you might consider: British Aerospace (BAE) (UK) GEC-Marconi (UK) Hollandse Signaal Apparaten (HSA) (Dutch, but owned by...) Thomson Sintra (France) Ferranti (UK) Rheinmetall AG Thyssen-Nordseewerk Deutsche Aerospace System Teknik Nord (STN) Atlas Elektronik Krupp Bremer Vulkan The names remain, but the ownership changes. The firm I was employed by in 1987

FT wise, or SG2 wise? I have a fair number of Japanese Corporate Mercenaries. I like the looks of the figures. Jon has no Power Armour for this force, yet, but I'm thinking of using my Living Steel power armour for the Japanese. The scale and style is close enough. For organization, I went with an 8 man squad as I seem to remember the number 8 being lucky in Japan (or is that in Buddhism, I can't remember). Their flechette guns have FP3 (I got a confirmation from Jon on this) but I have them wearing D6 armour. I haven't played any campaigns or anything with them, but I'm thinking of having them use the Morale rules as found in the SG2 book, while having all the OTHER forces use my morale modifications. It should give the Japanese some extra staying power without being unbalancing.
