Subject: KryoMek adaptions for FT and DSII

Dear Players:

Over the the summer I attempted to adapt Kryomek to a larger scale using
Dirtside II. It work fairly well for adapting the infantry and a few vehicles.
I would like to get few suggestions on adapting the TALOS and the Helcats. And
a few ideas on working on Kryomek Vehicles.

And one last thing I am attempting to come up with ideas on working the NEXUS
starships and looking for suggestions for Kryomek starships.

     Sincerley

Um, uh, this doesn't have anything to do with games period, let alone FT, DS2
or SG2. It's not even an off topic science message spawned from a game thread.

Normally I'm pretty tolerant of off topic stuff (some of you would say too
tolerant) but 410 lines of attribution for 65 lines of bad Seuss parody? And
an OJ joke at that? You Americans really ought to get over this OJ thing. (And
don't get me started about the Brits and Di!)

Actually, Allan(and you haven't killed me yet for misspelling your name?!?!?),
we in the US are much more interested these days in Princess of Wales. OJ is
pretty much a breakfast drink, once again.

As to the letter, it IS a chain letter after all, and whether money is
involved or not, very much frowned upon by most ISP's. To post to a maillist
compounds the horror.

I wasn't much interested in being the avenging angel this time. Did anyone
else contact Prodigy to have the account quashed?

Sorry that you took offense, Gilles, but it was only made in jest. I'm a
sarcastic bastard, but I don't like using "smilies." That's why I added the
Princess Di comment, I thought the ridiculousness of the comment was obvious.
In fact, I'm a Scot myself (by birth) and thus fall into the Brit part of my
comment. A number of long time list members know that, so they probably caught
the irony in my comment.

> Being an AMERCIAN, it never

Okay, now as a Scots born Canadian, I must protest. Do you know how many times
it IRKS Scots to be lumped in the general category of "English?" Or having
people say, "Oh, sorry, I was talking about Brits, not Scots," without
realizing that Scots aren't English but ARE Brits or British? Or do Scots not
make Americans the "brunt of their jokes?"

> I'd rather find a

It wasn't intended as an attack. If you took it that way, I apologize. I had
meant to put something ironinc and sardonic about Canadians at
the end of the comment--just to reinforce the irony--but we're so
boring I couldn't think of anything...

> I don't take snide remarks at other countries. Let's keep

You've read far too much into my comment. I'm probably the least prejudiced
person you're likely to run into. Maybe a little insensitive, but certainly
not prejudiced...

I heard a similar joke, but it went "What do you do if a blonde throws a pin
at you? Run like hell, she has a grenade in her mouth. What do you do if a
blonde throws a grenade at you? Pull out the pin and throw it back."

Any blonde women in the audience?

Me too! Wait. I'm blonde but not female. Darn, I fell for that trap also.

Since they are the New Anglian (whatever) I always tended to look on them as a
proto British empire. At least, the NAC ships in the flavour text sound more
Royal Navy than US Navy, and don't the captains mentioned have 'hereditary'
titles?

> We don't seem to have objected too much to these stereotypes involved
I think in general games work better with clearly defined 'sides'. That almost
by definition means stereotypes.

Dear Mark:

The ships that you have mentioned were designed by JMS. They made reference to
on The Lurkers Guide to Babylon 5.
