Indy's Civilian Ship Names

ship and yacht names, now, vary tremendously, and there is no reason to assume
this will be different in the future.

some civilian starship names used in games by me for a very long time are
listed below;

TINY WONDER, TYPE A2 FREE TRADER. well armed ( both turrets have puls lasers
x3) free trader plying the frontier, with a long service crew of 12.

HELLO THERE!, TYPE R SUBSIDIZED MERCHANT. independently owned, heavily armed (
all turrets fitted; beam laser x 1, sandcaster x 1 ea) with part of the cargo
hold converted to fuel tankage to increase her "legs" a ship with a "shady
rep" but nothing definate to place her outside the law.

BACK FROM THE DEAD, TYPE R SUBSIDIZED MERCHANT (formerly named STELLA
BY STARLIGHT-hey, i did'nt name her, i just recovered her and renamed
her!). ambushed in orbit of a frontier world, damaged, abandoned by her
paniced crew, captured by space pirates, taken to an out system rockdock for
repairs. rockdock was accidentally discovered by the crew of a TYPE A2 FREE
TRADER named NOVA TEXAS during a charter supporting a small asteroid mining
company. NOVA TEXAS captured the weakly defended rockdock and TYPE R
undergoing repairs there. at present the other half of NOVA TEXAS SHIPPING.

LADY BE GOOD, 1,000 ton Non Standard Orbit to Orbit freighter. lightly
armed, equipped with two 95-ton shuttlecraft  and  two 20 ton ship's
gigs.

SHENANDOAH, a 600 ton Non Standard Surface to Surface explorer, part of a
small consortium of independently owned vessels (13 vessels).

NOVA TEXAS, TYPE A2 FREE TRADER. honest trader, suspected smuggler,
and  pirate's bane.   the other half of NOVA TEXAS SHIPPING.

MAN OF LA MANCHU, TYPE A2 FREE TRADER. honest trader, explorer, builder of
colonies, bounty hunter, recovery agent, mercenary, pirate's bane, tilts at
windmills upon occassion. smart, fast, well armed, with multiple transponder
IDs. has been on all sides of the law at various times and places, but always
comes out smelling like a rose (so far!). rumored to have many friends in very
high places....
