fire might be able to make a localized burn through.

Langton Field Mass: 10% Cost: 5 x Mass

Each arc of the Langton Field has a rating equal to the mass of the system.
Langton Fields cannot be combined with Screens or Reflex Fields. The Field
absorbs all damage up to this rating in each arc, after which the Field has
been "burned through" and all further damage for the turn is applied directly
to the ship. If 3 or more arcs suffer "burn through" the ship suffers
immediate hull damage equal to the rating of the field and the field is
destroyed. ie: a 200 mass ship has a Langton Field of 20. If it takes 30
points in the FP arc, the field burns through and the hull takes 10 points. If
the AP and AS also take 20 points each, the entire field fails and the ship
takes 20 points to the hull from feedback (probably destroying the ship).
