In fact, there's one figure that I'd like some help identifying. He's the
multi-part Alien Warrior, about 3/4 of the way down the page. If anyone
recognizes the little guy, tell me what you know about him.

The one you identify as '"Heroes Miniatures" Alien with both head variants'?
Definitely not 'Heroics'? Most kewl indeed. Anyone who has more info, PLEASE
include availability.

Can you identify the Preds? They look familiar, but I can't place 'em.

FYI, the Gren Future Warriors have again resurfaced in Holistic Designs'
Combat Zone, plastics in the main box, metal in the addon box, I think. They
were available also in the Kryomek line as 'Nexus SWAT Team'. Again, I think,
as I don't have my Simtac catalog handy. Could have been the Marines. One had
power armor, the other were FW 'gyrines.

One last question, are you sure Simtac hasn't gone out of business? I haven't
heard or seen anything from them for quite awhile, and I know of others who've
been sending queries and getting no response.

Oh, and if you're interested in a couple of figs just for a look, I can send
you a few spare Friekorps not-Aliens and not-Colonial Marines. No 'Big
Moma',
the queen, tho'. Let me know off-list, with your USPS address. If my
e-mail
is

That's the guy. I'm not sure about the beginning of the word, but the end is
definitely "OES". This bugs me; I know that I must have bought this guy
somewhere, but I have no idea when or where. I'm kind of wondering if this
is the Riversco Not-Alien, as I have only seen drawings of that one. I
doubt it, though -- the sculpting is a little too good.

I indentify them a bit further on -- Eureka's "Intergalactic Bounty
Hunters"
-- Beth sent me the scan.

I've seen the plastics; same sculptor, but different figs. Nice, though

Hmmm, that's rather interesting. I'm in the process of setting up a 'mystery
gallery' for the Stuff of Legends and I've got a miniature that might be from
the same company.

It's a skeleton warrior sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. The base says "'93 HM INC" on
the bottom and includes a stylized skull.

I'm going to be posting the page in a few days (maybe even later today if I
hussle) and it will include some kind of submission mechanism for people to
send in stuff to be identified. Perhaps we might be able to dig up more
information about this rather well hidden company...

Tom

P.S. If you haven't seen the Stuff of Legends, it's intended (eventually) to
be the definitive source for information on minaitures (specifically 25mm
Fantasy and SF, but we're not stopping there).

At least, that's what their page says
( http://members.aol.com/dins/index.htm ). The page was last updated
on
7/7/99, so they were alive back in July at least.

Saw them at Historicon back in July. Looked like they were dumping what was
left of their Kryomech inventory. That's ok I've still got hordes of the

stuff to paint one of these years. Shame of it was that 2-3 years ago
they announced a third Kryomech book full of scenerios, new alien races, new
NEXUS and Kroyomech units etc. Never made it to press.
