With the demise of stargrunt.com, another fallout in the.com wars:) I am at a
loss for all the good house rules collected there. Such things as breaching
walls and the alternate rules for detachments.

Is there another page with this information?

Geez, so many people lamenting the closure of my website!:)

Looks like I may have to re-open the site sooner than I expected, for
those of you hungry for Stargrunt stuff.:)

Any suggestions for what _should_ be on the site, people? I'm open for
ideas here!

I would be happy to see just the information sans the interactive stuff that
can eat into your time. Now that I have found someone
interested in playing I need to re-read all the alternate stuff.

The stuff I visited most:

- - house rules
- - scenarios
- - miniature galleries
- - links

I liked the idea of the opponent finder, a working version could be useful,
depending on how many people'd actually use it.

The TOE stuff was interesting, but I'd much like to see that linked to the
enceclopedia for more usefulness; also, there were nowhere near enough TOE's;)
Folks, write up that kinda stuff; I'll be looking into writing my own as well.

One thing 'lacking' with respect to the house rules, is that there is no way
to tell whether something is just an idea sprouted in one person's head and
laughed at by the rest of the world, or a fairly common accepted rule. I have
no idea HOW I'd deal with this, though:(

With respect to the galleries, maybe it would be a lot easier for the site
administrator to simply provide links to pages with individual galleries,
rather than try to create a large gallery on the site itself?

I'm probably forgetting stuff, but that's what came to mind first.

Cheers,

Actually, I had a lot of TO&E info on my webprovider site, but that has
since closed and I haven't gotten around to re-doing the stuff on my
other site (which really needs updating).

The TO&E available were:

A series of rough ones based upon various military SF books (CoDominium
universe, Starcruiser Shenandoah universe, 13th Spaceborne Assault Team, and
another one, I think).

A detailed one for Koslowski's Hussars, a light armor/motorized infantry
unit mercenary unit.

A series of detailed ones for the Far Stars Union.

Eventually, I'll get them back on line somewhere. Or, if someone wants an
immediate copy, let me know and I'll e-mail you the one your interested
in.

Maybe it is time to do the Stargrunt House Rule of the Week and hash out some
of those things. Ones that make it through the crucible of online discussion
could be added with a GZG list approved!
