Hey Everybody!

Who has read the "Honor Harrington" series by David Weber (or is it "Webber"?
I'm not sure. My brother has my set.)?

If you haven't, I would highly reccomend them. They have some great space
combat sequences. Heavy into missile use.
Beams are considered a point-blank weapon.

I believe the first book is called _On Basilisk Station_.

The series is kind of a female-Horatio-Hornblower-in-space
thing.

Trust me. If you like FT, you'll like these books. Easy to translate to the
game, and some great scenario ideas.

Out here.

Funny, but I was just in the process to write the same thing. I just got
through reading the second book of the series, I think it is called "The
Queen's Honor" or some such. I am now on the third called "The Short
Victorious War." This is really a FT series. As Monty said above, they are
heavy into missile use. Some times the physics in the book gets deep but
overall very good. It makes me want to figure out some mini-missile
massive missile bunker FT system. If anyone has designed something that we can
start with, I would love to see them.

Get the books. Good Stuff. David Weber is the author. There are 4 books in the
series.

On Basilisk Station The Honor of the Queen The Short Victorious War Field of
Dishonor Flag in Exile... and I've heard some rumours about a sixth book
coming, though I don't know if it's true.

The sixth book is available in hardback in the USA -- the paperback
hasn't been released yet.

Anyone interested in the Honor Harrington series should check out the
unofficial David Weber Fan Club page at
http://lyre.mit.edu/~deering/weber.html

I've read the sixth book, Honor Among Enemies, and it is as good as, if not
slightly better than the others. Honor
is given independent command of a squadron of Q-ships
and has to subdue a pirate fleet and a squadron of People's Navy commerce
raiders.

Has anyone tried to adapt rules for these books to Full Thrust?

Yes, I saw it today myself. I'll have to wait for the paperback before I

can afford it, though...
