Subject: Hello again

A whim struck me earlier this week, and I rejoined the list. I was curious if
anyone had any news about John Atkinson. I got a letter from him last year
thanking me for a CARE package, but I was wondering if anyone had heard from
him.

Hi, Bill,

...and has borrowed Don's email to post a cantankerous line or two. Sounds
healthy to me, though I assume he's still depressurizing. It doesn't take many
evenings' watching of NET's News Hour to start feeling concern, no?

What did you care package? He didn't need the books I found.

Hi Doug,

I have to admit I've never watched NET's New's Hour (guess I should since I
work there, but hey I work there, I figure that's enough of a donation).

IIRC we sent over a couple things of baby wipes, a bunch of magazines, and a
scad of books. I took up a collection at work. I think the shipping on it was
something like $25.

Good to hear he didn't get extended.

Update on Me:

Got back to the States on 14 March or something like that. Am currently on
leave, and hanging out at my parent's place in Northern Virginia. Will be back
in the Dallas area next week for a wedding next Saturday. After that I'm
disappearing from civilization for a week or two. Back to work on 13 June, and
we get to turn in our tracks (getting Bradleys in late July).

Then in August, I report back to Germany. Go, me.

Never out of our thoughts, obviously. However, likewise obvious is the need to
take your time. We can be patient.

Zen-like might be a stretch for our imaginations, though... ;->=

Take care.
