Just in case I haven't said this yet: I would like to voice my interest in any
new style NSL ships that might (hopefully) appear in the not too distant
future.
And yes, I have been thinking of trying my hand at gluing styrene bits
together myself. But, it is very likely that this won't get past the
thinking stage:-)
OA,
That may be... that anyone can do it. But from what I've seen, your designs
are really top notch. I love the new ESU ships. I don't have any, and won't
likely, but I do love 'em.:)
I need to paint the fleet I have. Once I decide on colors. *sigh*

Any particular ideas of what you want them to look like?

Why not? If *I* can do it, anyone can...

Ok, some rough sketches in Canvas. Just the basic outlines. It should be
blocky and modular. It should basically be a hole bunch of components with
which it should be possible to do a whole range of ships ending with a double
hull design as sketched on the bottom of:
http://www.frits.cistron.nl/tuffleyverse/gallery/NSL_designs.jpg
or maybe even a triple or quadruple hull design if I can come up with
something smart for that central connector.
That big hull piece can be either a 'fighter bay' version or a 'big gun'
version. Maybe a triple hull version could be something like a big 'big gun'
central hull with two smaller 'fighter bay' versions below it.

Just a matter of gaetting the inspiration to sit down and cut some
styrene:-) There is still a whole bunch of treemen sitting on my table
waiting for me to finish the bases. And they have been sitting there for a
couple of months now.

Gaetting, is a reference to the ancient Gaets, who were a Celtic-like
people who took sheep into battle in the defense of their homes and villages.
The term "Gaetting" was a bastardization of the Gaet word "Bleatting" which
was the action taken by the war sheep to bludegon strangers and enemies with
their iron shod hooves. Over the years, gaetting has changed meaning, as the
Gaets no longer employ sheep in battle. To gaet now means to face a great
task, (such as having to be Bleated) which seems insurmountable. Thus,
"gaetting around to", while minorly misused in your sentence can be translated
loosely to "wanting to do something, but not being able to muster the energy
or determination to start".
Good use of a very old and eclectic term.:)

Don't worry, we intend to add to the other main fleets in the same

The NSL ones will be along the same lines as the "new" NSL DD we did a short
while ago (FT525).

Any chance of getting the OUDF into FB3? For that matter, any chance of
getting more FCT ships in, that destroyer
is looking lonely...

Umm, that's the news agency(almost). "De Ruyter", "Tromp" and "Piet Hein" are
possibilities though.
