GZG West Coast Con 2?

It looks like the GZG West Coast Convention 2 will need a little
re-tooling ...

About a week ago I spent a couple of days in The Bay Area searching
for a hotel/con space.  After about (literally) 100 phone calls I
realized that it was going to be close to impossible to find an inexpensive
space for the con based on the expected turnout
(ie - people paying for the space).

Mike Brown has proposed an idea that makes sense - run a collection
of GZG games at ConQuest, the Labor Day gaming con in Palo Alto. It's a great
idea and the closest thing there will be to a second
GZG WCC at this point - unless someone can find a cheap venue.

Honestly - this is probably a more realistic way to hold our "fringe"
gaming con.  And don't forget - there will be other players to recruit
to "Our Side."

Why aren't we holding it in Modesto? (I hadn't forgotten your suggestion, Mark
Reindl.) For the same reason we're not holding it in Los Angeles where I live.
Most of the West Coast gamers on the list live closer to the Bay Area than any
other place in California.
