The site is near the Oakland Airport and is fairly reasonable in price, the core respondents to the first GZG-WCC were nearly all in the SF Bay area, and airfare from LA or SeaTac a flight to Oakland is fairly cheap. Michael Brown [quoted original message omitted]

When I was pulling together the first GZG WCC I did a quick informal poll of California based GZG players and found the vast majority lived up in the Bay Area. That's why the con's up there and not down here...
