I hadn't realised that 2300 was coming back. I suppose I should not be
surprised as it was good and Twilight is returning as well. A very important
game for GZG in many different ways I think. Â I have been impressed by the
GURPS Traveller books as well though i have not kept up with them as I should
have. I like GURPS but I have not played it since the late 80s and was
disappointed that the latest edition did not simplify it as much as I rather
think it needed to be. Â I still prefer the classical Traveller setting as
well. The latest post virus books are impressive and rather clever but
sometimes a little contrived. Â

Yeah GURPS in general can get a little glitchy but, nothing a few house rules
can't cure.

The classical Traveller setting is still the best overall, I wasn't to trilled
with Mega Traveller but, there were a few items I got from it.

But it is in T20..... That sends it crashing and burning.... Unless Hunter
actually hires some one to rewrite and edit that rule set. The rules aren't
bad, the layout killed T20 for my crowd.

Here is a link to someones start at a Gurps conversion.

Yep.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt this way.

***I too am no fan of the D20 system. With me I'll just take the background
and use another system, Hunter always does good fluff if nothing else...)

***Well I've always felt the squandered a great opportunity with Mega
Traveller, again I just took bits and used them with Gurps or classic.

Oh, hey, that's me again. :-)

What else are you after? Main thing on my list is the other alien templates.
