Subject: [GZG] Stargrunt help

Wow guy's the years just fly by.

Now after 5 years of 40K, our jr's are after somthing with more bite, and
since Stargrunt is free download on the net, what do you think my jr's were
trying to setup last weekend.

Yes Stargrunt, was not happy go away for 2,months and the world changes, this
time for the better. So I need to know if any one has done any background on
the N.A.C and E.S.U in regards to what they call the goverment bodies any
named characters so to speak and who is in charge, Yes I know it's alot but
like to flesh out my games alot. Any help would be great.

Jon love to 15mm stuff, but have to much of that other scale you hate 25mm to
change, anything on the agenda down the track, plastic's would be good.

No one at our club has any 15mm sci fi just GW and the like in 28mm so will
stick with the older 25mm scale that you use to do release's for, wink wink,
man have something in my eye.lol

Althouhg with the new Robotech movie out late this year or early next
may get some new 1/48th
kits or 1/100 for 25mm and 15mms.

Congratulations! I could only hope for the same when the grandson grows
manageable. My daughter went the Goth-Larp route, but it made
conventions easy as I was an early riser. Saved hotel room space by hot
bunking...

I've always thought the major powers stayed vague with good reason, as folks
could fill in the blanks as they wished. However, I think Indy,
followed by Beth, used to do "JTAS News"-style blurbs once in awhile.
You might try hunting the archives, though they were mostly 'local' items, as
I recalled.

If only I could remember how they ID'd those posts...

Prepare for a flame, I fear. I've never gotten the feeling he hated any scale,
no matter what some poor folks feel; you have to assume he has to
follow the market to keep spoon-to-mouth. ;->=

I'm weird enough to prefer the character of many of the old starship designs,
but when the moulds wear out...

Really? A new movie? I didn't realize the last did well enough to continue the
string. Not that Hollywood isn't desperate enough for ideas NOT to reprise
even failures...

When you can't remember, you can always post 'help'. :-D

I posted all the news items I've writtten here:
http://indy-adventures.net/full-thrust/full-thrust.html
A short bit down the page, under GZG Universe Entries are the New Articles.
Right now there are 25 news articles, spanning from 2057 to 2196.

Some character types appear, but I tried not to go all the way up the govt top
level to leave things open for backgroun use in whomever's GZG
interpretted universe. :-)

I've been meaning to write up a few more, but Life(tm) has kept interfering
with me at each turn. :-/ Got a few ideas still working on, though. At
some point...

In production with a 2010 release date. This is probably Toby Maguire's
production. Yes, Spiderman owns the US movie rights. Which makes the rights
issue in the US even more complicated than it was. Still, I'm happy to see a
real production company attempt it, with today's CGI it ought to be a gorgeous
festival of mecha and explosions.

For something actually GOOD in this vein, I recommend Macross Frontier, 25
episodes of very good artwork, terrific story and good music. It's Macross, so
singing DOES save the galaxy (again), and the fighters do transform, but ti's
an excellent update of the original
story. Not a re-make, it's in the same continuity as the original.
Frontier is just a similar story with better writing.

G'day,

But again I've left most of the higher order stuff vague as my focus was much
more in the thick of things. I once filled in the GZG verse timeline a wee bit
more and in a way I new most people wouldn't agree with to make the point that
the current timeline is flexible enough you can fit just about any vision of
the future into it.

Cheers
