Can't be an unscrupulous Islamic Fed shipyard, nosirree! Any resemblance in
the bow is purely coincidence! This is not the
shipyard you're looking for -- move along!
"In late breaking news today, a covert investigation by the UN has failed to
find the shipyard or yards responsible for construction of a Rim Pirate vessel
recently captured in the act of piracy. Sources state that although no pirates
were taken alive, data recovered indicated that the ship had been built to
order, but not where it
originated from. Many parts were found to be non-genuine copies from
some of the largest manufacturers in human space. Internal investigations have
been started by the companies to determine how the plans were stolen. There is
no truth to the rumour that a huge mobile shipyard was seen entering Islamic
Federation space, as no known human, phalon or kra'vak technology is not
capable of lifting such a large ship into FTL at this time."

Frits
These things although regrettable and truly unfortunate do indeed happen. The
Rim being in it's current state of flux, it's completely understandable that
traffic control would not get the nessisary attention one would expect in more
developed and peaceful regions.........Deeply regrettable, there should be an
internal commission appointed...........

Well, they would say that, wouldn't they. Where's the evidence? Oh, no, it's
"too sensitive" and would "compromise intelligence sources", same as always.
And when the pirates come down on you, you'll all vote to give more money to
the UNSC to save you from them, won't you?

So, _every_ known technology is capable of it? Even my coffee maker? :-)
R
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Changed the wording after drafting and didn't re-proof it aloud. That's
a risk with fast fiction.

Actually, you should have just told him his coffee maker had been forgotten
by this time. ;->=
The_Beast, who is imagining a distant exploratory mission discovering
the STC to RBW's coffee maker...
P.S. Or is it's RB's coffee maker?
...and who is also abashed at his ignorance of initialization protocols.

One of the reasons I keep my surname as it is (with the space in it) is that
it confuses people who are relying on habit rather than thought.
