Can U still Jump if U have FTL but have no Thrust Engine online due to Battle
Damage.   I beleive the asnwer is Yes, but wanted to hear "official
answer".

Just a Lurker here on the Digest, But maybe I have a good idea or 2..

allowed it. I can see how it doesn't work for a 'jump
lane' universe like B5, Silent Death/Metal Express or Victory By Any
Means.

In the basic FT rules as written, and in the "official" GZG-verse
background, yes, you can; we assume that the jump drive and sublight drives
are completely separate. As I think someone else pointed out, however, if
playing in a background that uses jump points or gates then the answer would
be no, because you need to propel the ship though the gate.
Of course, even in the GZG-verse you would just be drifting at the
other side of the jump, probably several gazillion miles from
anywhere....  ;-)

And that what happened..   And the funny thing was that ship still
"Misjumped" 36" off it planned arrival point in an uninhabited star
system.    The
Attack Cruiser "Hercules" ended up waiting until it's FTL engine was charged
before
jumping again, again to an uninhabited star system.   and they followed
this plan until they could get to a "friendly star system"
