Subject: GZG questions

I'm looking for some information regarding forthcomming and potential GZG
stuff.

1. What is the schedule for the release of the SG II infantry in 6mm?

2. Is GZG likely to produce any small wheeled jeep-type vehicles in 25mm
?

3. The mercenaries are listed as having both combat and assault rifles, what's
the difference?

4. What is the indended profile for the UNSC troopers weapons, are they all
infantry plasma weapons?

5. The Kra'vak are re-released, how compatible are they with the old
figures?

6. With the re-release of the Kra'vak and the release of the P'taah
(sp?)
are we likely to see the aliens supplement this year? and will it also have
the Kryomek listed as they were in SG I?

7. The NSL carrier is described as a modified SDN, what is the physical
diference between these models as the catalogue (and Geo-Hex photos)
does not make this clear?

As soon as the designer gets his a** in gear and does them for us....
He's flat-out doing the vehicles at the moment, but I hope the infantry
will be along before too long.

We already do the "rangetruck" (SF25-29A) which is kind of Humvee sized,
but may get round to some smaller stuff eventually.

Basically nothing.

Yes, but we haven't tried them out yet....:)

Not very - the old KV were very oversized and a bit crude, the new ones
match the human figs better. Appearance and uniforms are similar, but weapons
are all new designs.

The aliens supplement will be out as soon as I can get it written, but other
things (like the FT fleet book, FTII, FMA etc) keep getting in the way. No,
the Kryomek won't be in it (they were actually not in SG1
either -
the guy who did the weapons manual for me just put in some "generic aliens
with bioweapons"...)

The only real difference is the carrier has an additional "bay" under the main
spar that joins the fore and aft hull sections, which is the fighter storage
area. We have a side view in the new '97 catalogue (UK) which makes this
clearer.

OK - So this leads to a bunch more questions: :-)

1) What does a KV look like? 18 legs? 6 eyes? Armored? Fur? Tiny? Large?

2) What is a P'taah? And what do they look like?

Thanks,

Large?

Humanoid in shape and size, with a head that is a cross between the
Predator and the Kafers from 2300AD. Hands/feet three-digited.
> 2) What is a P'taah? And what do they look like?

Slightly insectoid, with elongated (Alien-esque) heads, digitigrade
(birdlike) legs, and tails. Again about man-sized. Use a combination of
"hard" tech and biotech; we haven't yet decided just where they will fit in
the GZG background - they may be an independant minor race, or may even
end up as a "client" (read: slave) race used by the Sa'Vasku for combat
duties....
> Thanks,

May be a long wait - I don't know if GeoHex will release them for US
sale or not. You could always ask them!

Both races sound massively cool, are there miniatures for these and (I assume
GZG sells them) how do I order them? Is there a picture catalog, etc., etc.

That is exactly what I meant. I just used the extremes to save typing. I
assumed folks could extrapolate what I was getting at. Your description of the
DD vs BB is just what I am trying to do with FT. Perhaps it is inappropriate
or unnecessary in the context of a FT campaign. Paul
