Hi,
The Pan African Union is the largest power bloc in the Full Thrust universe
that still doesn't have its own fleet of miniatures available from Ground Zero
Games. Can we expect a line of PAU miniatures some time in the near future?
Thanks,

looking over their TO&E and thinking the exact same question for Stargrunt in
15mm.

PAU bought the majority of it's ships (especially their heavy warships) from
foreign sources like the ESU and FSE. The fleetbook mentions them buying from
the ESU if I remember.

http://mail.csua.berkeley.edu:8080/mailman/listinfo/gzg-lI believe what
James is suggesting is that there might be a business opportunity in selling a
line of PAU ships. Even a small line, like FCT or OUDF, but a line
nonetheless.
Heck, the IF got a fleet and arguably the PAU should be at least as good as
the IF!
The ORCs got a fleet, and they are a bunch of Colonial rubbish... <spoken with
a snooty NAC accent>
I'm all for some PAU ships.
And I guess 15mm PAU too, since there were really decent 25mm PAU.

http://mail.csua.berkeley.edu:8080/mailman/listinfo/gzg-lWhile that
makes sense from a background point of view, I must say that it's
disappointing from a tabletop perspective, where it's really MUCH more fun for
every fleet to have its own distinct character!
Perhaps the "mystery fleet" might become PAU?

Honestly--I'd like to see a full line of PAU ships. After all the Fleet
Book says "Five
built-to-order Rostovs were exported to the Pan African Union between
2178 and 79, to form the major battleline strength of the PAU's
rapidly-expanding and modernising navy..."
Rapidly-expanding and modernising navy implies to me at least
that the ship purchases were to build up a fleet more quickly and so the PAU
can and is building its own ships at the same time as its purchasing ships
from nearby powers, certainly there's a historical precedent for that. Not to
mention of course, that a full PAU line would be another fleet for GZG to
sell.
I suppose I should say I'm grateful there even IS a PAU in this
background. Too often in science fiction, people forget about
Africa altogether or treat it like some permanent third-world quagmire.
The only other place I've seen anything close is the Nigerian starship in the
BBC series Hyperdrive (a really fun episode of a great series by the way).
