Weirdly, I just remembered I'll be in Tustin Ranch(near/in Irvine, CA?)
about the same time. Anything/place I should be seeing while there?

Next week I'm going to be in Daytona Beach, Florida, training clients.
(The "Orange County" part of your header caught my attention, as there's an
Orange County in Florida, too.)
Too bad my neice SORT OF near there has let her gaming slide. Then again, her
main interest was being a Changling in the White Wolf world. Never got her
into the tabletop mode...

PS Got the stand thingies from Rattlehead; now to make the hard choices.

Sorry, OC in CA is such a target of derision from liberals such as myself that
we tend to be blinded to any others. You'd think with all the Orange County
Bikers paraphenalia floating around, a company in New York though
inspired by Daytona, of course, I would be a little more open-eyed if
not minded.
Course, there's many Nebraska place names shared/borrowed with/from
elsewhere. Rome, Syracuse, Grand Island, and Cairo, and without NE behind
them, I think of Italy, New York(sorry, Sicily, my minds voice says
Syracusa), Buffalo NY, and northern Missouri (both pronounce Kay-ro).

Isn't the Cairo you're talking about in Illinois?
The USS Cairo, a Civil War ironclad that was sunk in the Yazoo River, is on
display at the Vicksburg battlefield park. That's when I first
heard "Cairo" was pronounced "KAY-ro".
Of course the Indian programmers at my office laugh at Delhi,
Louisiana being pronounced "DELL-high".

Prolly; was just thinking 'on the Mississippi'.

spelling, of the Capital of the Central Kingdom.
Ok, I've been TOO [OT] for too long. Apologies to all.
Slightly on topic, would ships such as the Kay-ro make good names for FT
'boats', non-FTL, ships?

PS Still no suggestions for after I step off the plane at *gag* John Wayne
International?

I think so. The USS Cairo gunboat was one of the City Class gunboats. They
were named after small U.S. cities, not the bigger cities that usually get a
larger ship named after them. That would work well for
non-FTL NAC strike boats. There are a ton (tonne) of small cities in
Britain, Canada and the U.S. that could be used for these things.
