Hi
Just put up a page on the ol website showing the latest set of 2mm
Sci-fi
greens I've produced. Not sure there is much that you lot could corrupt for
15mm or 25mm games but have a look and pass comment if you feel the need:)

Well, this '6 mm preferred scale' guy likes them! Now, if my boss just gets
the travel pay paperwork done...
Substitutes for M-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-c-e in S-p-a-a-a-a-a-a-c-e! Or maybe
just fine as such all by themselves.
Gracias,
I too think the hover droids are clever, but are they meant to be phalon
technology?

Wait a minute; if it's 2mm scale, and the infantry are 3mm...
What monsters! 8-10 foot tall, right?!? How Evil Empire(tm) of you!
Just teasing, of course. Forgiving my continued living in Imperial times, but
three millimeters is about an eighth of an inch, right? HOW DO YOU DO IT?
Fiendishly clever surgical micro tools? Stretching green stuff until thread
thick, and hack millions of little pieces with a razor knife, and scoop up the
ones so deformed that'll assemble into what you want?
I LOVE the 'pea' wheels. Have you painted any up yet? I'm assuming a dot of
flat black with make them more wheel like.

Any idea if/when these will go into production? I came into some
birthday and Christmas money. I'd like to get some of these, preferably with
infantry and artillery!
Also, are the infantry sculpted onto a base? (They would probably be a lot
easier to handle if they were...)
> Also, are the infantry sculpted onto a base? (They would probably be
Actually, they appear to be sculpted to small 'buttons', ala Space
Marine/Epic. The question becomes: how are the bases to be done?
Square/circle or strings...
Brings up a question I had of those interested in these. Anybody thinking of
making 3d game pieces for board games?

No the base was just an idea. The infantry are all individual. I may make some
more so far I have done a Commander, trooper, heavy weapons trooper and
missile launcher trooper. Someone has asked for power armour but I'm trying to
not make that look like just a tall guy!
As to the size, I had to allow a bit of scale creep to get some detail in.
They still look ok along side the vehicles which is the main thing. Pic to
prove it:

I'll have to speak to Jon about that.

Well not wanting to give too much away......basically I do start with cutting
out the shape bit like cutting pastry shapes. Then when that has
hardened I add the weapons, backpack, back of helmet etc. so it's not flat.
Seems to work ok.
Oh and bit of trivia for you. That is the second commander figure I have
made, the first one bounced off my work surface and I've never found him.
Obviously made him out of 'yellow stuff'!
Only have the original wheeled vehicles so not painted any yet.

Glenn I can assure you each tank is crewed by Space Mice. I personally
sculpted them before placing them in each vehicle.

Hover Droid dimensions (ahem:)
7mm tall 5mm wide
Would look good next to 15mm mini's I reckon.
Jeremey www.germy.co.uk
Hm. The drone is larger than I anticipated... I kind of figured that it'd
be in the 3-5mm range in height. Still damned cute. :)
