"OFFICIAL" GZG NEWS:
We have NINE new releases for our 15mm vehicle range, all in production and to
be officially launched at Salute (Excel, London) on Saturday 22nd April; you
can place orders for them on the store as soon as they are up, but all
mailorders for these new items will be shipped out in the week AFTER the
Salute show. So, if you want to be among the very first to have some, come and
see us on stand T126 at Excel!
In this batch of releases, we have some amazing eight-legged walker
tanks, the Wombat II hover APC (in 3 variants!) and the first Grav
vehicles in the range - lots more to come soon, including wheeled
vehicles and some more SG15 infantry packs!
I'm sending pics of these to the usual places (John Lerchey, Stargrunt.ca, TMP
etc.) and I'm sure the relevant folks will let you know when they are up and
where you can look at them.....
You may note from the list below that we don't yet have names for the
Gunsleds (grav tanks) - any good suggestions welcomed! ;-)

Saw the minis on the Miniatures page. I'm in love with this new line of minis.
What is the viability of seeing a light combat walker similar to these?

Very useform and look almost tailor-made for the new sculpting style of
GZG. Given the number of players using other company's minis for light
combat walkers, why not have a go at some of your own - that is...
Unless you have already?

How about using birds of prey? Maybe the "Osprey" series. Or Merlin, Peregrine
or Kestral all sound like possible options, but I like Osprey best.

Man, I need to start painting & gaming again - hopefully after I move at
the end of this month!
I like the eight-legged beast.
I especially like the tank turret it's got - would that fit on a Cougar
body? I like the square barrel better than either of the available barrels the
Cougar has now!
Brian.
I'm in agreement - <DROOL> I'm finishing up my move, but still a few
weeks before I can get the studio area set up and thus back to painting. If
only there wasn't the day job getting in the way.:)

Brian - all the large tank turrets so far made (the OcTank, the
Cougar and the Grav tank) are fully interchangeable between hulls, and the all
the gun barrels are similarly universal. We've already considered selling the
barrels separately, but maybe we should do the turrets as accessory packs
too....?
Anyone else interested if we did this?
I certainly would. The option of having the turret available separate for
putting customized weapons on would be lovely.

I rather like that idea.... ;-)
"Spectre", "Wraith" and "Phantom" would sound good, but how many other
"ghostly" names are there out there which would work for other
types...?

While we're talking turrets: The Light Grav Sled's turret looks, in the
photos, way too small to actually hold the commander who's sticking halfway
out of it. How about an alternate automated turret, so all the crew can stay
down in the hull?

There are very few "real" tanks which have their turret crew
completely within the turret itself - the fighting compartment (the
turret "basket") fills a lot of the hull space below the turret ring. In the
case of the light grav, in order to keep the turret
low-profile, I assumed that the commander's lower half would be down
in the turret basket inside the hull. Yes, there's not a lot of elbow
room either, but it's a small tank! ;-)
We can certainly do a remote turret later as an option, though the
one already available (V15-ACC2, as used on the Guncrab and Puma)
would fit fine.

Sure, but in the case of the light grav sled, the frontal view photo kinda
suggests that part of the turret ring is located *directly below* the
commander's hatch (and not very far below, either) - passing through the
commander's right hip...
