Very nice, Jon. Why does the high-tech line give me that OUDF feeling?

Those Heavy Gravs are damn near Iconic.
You wouldn't know if the main gun will fit as a replacement of the old
Rafm/Martian metals Grav Tank?

The grav APCs look a lot like the German Marder APCs I bought from Roco to use
with 15mm SG2. I'd be curious to see them side by side.
Gosh, these could actually get me buying miniatures again...
> Damn it...
No idea, I'm afraid - while I've seen the pics of the RAFM/MM tanks,
I've never actually seen one "in the metal", so I don't know what the gun
mounting point is like at all. I can tell you that the mounting end of the gun
on our tank is a block approx. 10mm wide x 7mm high, if that's any help. With
a little filing of the mounting block the new gun is also interchangeable with
any of the gun options on the
V15-18A Hi-tech grav tank.

Rafm still (again?) has theirs; dunno about the comparative sizing (too bad
most manufacturers think a scale key ruins their pretty pictures; thanks,
Jon!), but I far prefer Jon's turret, if I can judge from the piccies. Call
'em an upgrade...

Also, at $25US compared to $8-9UKP (yes, Jon, we know; for those beyond
the EU, MINUS VAT), even allowing for difference in shippage, the Rafm piece
makes GZG's a real bargain, pending a side-by-side look.
Admittedly, with all the unpainted gropos I have, this ol' vacchead wouldn't
mind seeing a few of these backing them up.

PS Jon, I know the tanks look best at an angle, but trying to figure lengths
is challenging my decades old Trig!

The new Grav APC is a bit longer than the Marder, and maybe a little lower in
profile, but yes, the overall hull shape is certainly similar. The new APC is
40mm wide x 88mm long, so (assuming that 15mm
is nominally 1/100, which I know is a debatable point but it's the
yardstick I normally use) that makes it 4 metres wide and almost 9 metres long
if it was "real". Now, a Marder 1 is 6.88 metres long x 3.24 metres wide
(Jane's Recognition Guide), but your mini is in
1/87, so that should make the model 79 mm x 37mm. Using this as a
1/100 (15mm) SF vehicle would give it a "real" size of 7.9 metres
long x 3.7 metres wide, so quite close though a little bit shorter.

It does, the mounting space on the model is 11mm wide and it looks like your
gun is longer but I think it is do-able.
I got the model years ago out of a bargain bin with everything but the gun.
And it hase been sitting in my armor junkyard since. Now it looks like it
might have a new life.

As I mentioned in my reply to Allan, the new Gravs are all around 40mm wide x
88mm long. Out of curiosity, anyone know the dimensions of the RAFM tank?
Anyone actually got some?

Just what I was thinking, and it gets it out of the Graveyard.
How many of y'all have 15mm junkyards? I need to finish the board but I have
all the pieces down to the appropriate barnyard animals.
Also, at $25US
As I recall RAFM's prices are Dollars Canadian, so about 80% of US$. still
about twice Jon's with the current exchange rate.
> Admittedly, with all the unpainted gropos I have, this ol' vacchead
I still haven't gotten the Utility trucks for my "Moon" board/game
yet...
But man I want some. Now if only I could get some hours....
But short hours do give me time to paint so I shouldn't complain.
Approx. 8cm long by 4cm by the picture, so about the same size as the RAFM
Tank.

When you next place an order with us, remind me about this and I'll
send you a free gun for it! :-)
The gun on our tank is 32mm from mounting to muzzle. If that's too
big, you might prefer the short plasma gun from the V15-18A, which is
only 18mm long and from what I recall looks closer to the gun on the
RAFM/MM tank.

A combination of Alana's health and the economy have her in the unemployment
line.
I also haven't played a miniatures game in over 2 years, other than some
fiddling around with playtesting. Although miniatures have always been my
first love in gaming, I've seriously considered selling off most of my
collection. If I knew what my stepson would be interested in (if anything) in
the next few years, I'd probably get rid of a good chunk of it.
I need something to rekindle my interest again. These minis almost do that,
but for me I've always been driven by rule sets.
Color me floored. Really really impressed.

, those are lovely. I'm glad I got the older, slightly more ornate grav
vehicles, as they fit my game/backstory better, but these are quite
nice.
Loving the wheeled tank destroyer/SPG as well; one more point in favor
of buying a wheeled force next go round!

Lovely stuff. The wheeled vehicles are a nice addition for those of us
who run mid-tech forces. How do the new turrets interface with some of
the earlier vehicle designs?
Also, will we ever be seeing more walkers, possibly even something in a
bipedal light combat walker (think Traveller 2300/2300 AD)?
-Eli
> Lovely stuff. The wheeled vehicles are a nice addition for those of
Pretty much all the turrets are common mountings, so they will happily mix and
match!
> Also, will we ever be seeing more walkers, possibly even something
Some Infantry Walkers for 15mm are possible, though the multi-legged
OcTanks etc. are actually the slowest sellers of the whole 15mm range
so far - they do go, but just not in the quantities of the more
conventional stuff. I guess that walker-type mobility is a bit of a
love-it-or-hate-it thing! ;-)
Jon (GZG)
> -Eli
I do know that walkers are not everyone's thing. I seem to be pretty alone in
my love of them. I do also know that you are pretty much the only one
producing anything near a believable walker with any abundance or consistency.
I have managed to convert some from other miniatures lines, but
they are always make-do projects.
Good to hear about the turrets. Any plans to make walker legs available
separately?

for one would be very interested in some 15mm infantry walkers - either
pseudo "realistic" as in the 2300AD RPG, manga/anime style as in
VOTOMS/Shirow's "Appleseed" or anything in between. I like the existing
multi-leg walkers and intend to eventually get some to go with a ScanFed
mountain/arctic force, but some lighter bipeds would be nice too - the
existing "Mecha Carnage" Guardian and Goliath (MC01 &MC02) make very nice
infantry walkers, being just the right size. Shame the larger Heavy Gear
walkers went the journey...
> I do know that walkers are not everyone's thing. I seem to be pretty

them as a special order - email me off-list about it.

The list of codes, prices etc is:
The new 8-wheelers:
V15-50A 8-wheel APC with remote autocannon mount
£6.50
V15-51A 8-wheel MICV with light weapon turret (with gatling and
missile pod) £7.00
V15-52A 8-wheel Fire Support Vehicle/Mobile Gun System (Tank Killer)

back and add some more variants.....)
For those of you going to Tonbridge (Cavalier) on Sunday (22nd), we'll have
some of them all there.
