Hi all,
We are now happy to confirm availability of all the new codes I
mentioned in the "teaser" a few days ago - I've just sent the
listings to Paul to put up on the online store, so they should be up there
within a day or two (Paul's workload permitting); pictures of the new items
should be done in a day or two as well, and as soon as they are I'll send them
off to TMP and SCN (as well as to Paul for the store, of course).
If you are so desperate that you can't wait for the store to be updated, of
course you can always email me direct or phone us (01449
722322) and be among the very first to order them! ;-)
All the best,
Jon (GZG).

So... has anyone seen pics of these things yet? Not that I would ever dare to
put pressure upon Jon or GZG, but my curiousity is killing me.
Glad someone said it for me.

Jon has just dropped some off for me to paint up as display models. The glow
worm will not disapoint I think:} The two modular cargo vessels with the
chemical and cargo pods are lovely. They have a very ESU look to the front of
them I think, making them ideal for ESU fleet tenders or merchant shipping.
The short haul passenger transport is a little thing of beauty, NOT at ALL
influenced by a certain ship in Battlestar Galactica the new series:} The
space plane is very nice and sreamlined. The heavy atmospheric lifter is like
a fat space shuttle and looks very nice indeed. The generic space freighter
(falcon class i think?) will either be loved or hated. I love it but it is
boxy and kind of asymetrical. The new NAC ships follow on from the recent new
ones, but I think Jon may have taken notice of the comments and although the
teardrop shape still has weapon bits on I don't think they're as prevelant as
on the first few. Very nice sculpts once again, the larger ones being two
parters with the teardrop fitting onto the hull in a similar manner to the new
ESU.
I don't get paid for saying this - honest! If I thought the ships were
cack I would say nothing. I happen to think they're very nice though and
you'll be able to see soon on the minis page and SCN and the GZG website
hopefully. Right I'm off to Crete for two weeks! Dave

If it is the one I suspect, it actually *isn't* influenced by any BSG ship...
at the time I sculpted it, the only ships from the new BSG series I
had seen were the Vipers and the Galactica herself :-/ It was intended
as a
vaguely "Star Wars prequel-esque" civilian ship, inspired by several of
the ships seen in various background shots of Coruscant...

Well, apart from the OUDF and K'V ships and some new fighters (Oerjan's) and
the new Savasku (Dave's), all the other recent ships (UNSC, NI, Japs, IF, New
ESU, New NAC, Civilians etc) have been my
sculpts.... :-)

Paul, Bill and Dean now all have the piccies..... let's see who gets
them posted first! (My money's on Dean....) ;-)

Me too; course, life in the Dakotas is SOOOooooo laid back, it's hardly
surprising he has the time to be watching for new stuff to post. *dodge and

I got the pics and did look at them, quite interesting and my unbuilt NAC

I am at work right now so I won't be able to get them posted for probably
another 6 hours or so but I will do it ASAP when I get home and I'll drop a
note to the list when they are up.
I so don't ever, ever, ever want to see this taken out of context...

Just saw the new pictures on star-ranger.com.
I must say the new pictures do show the heritage of the ships while at the
same time incorporating elements seen in other new releases as well.
The new BB does seem sturdier looking than its predecessor. It looks like it
might even survive a hit on the connection between engines and 'saucer' part,
which is not the case with the original spindly designs.
