Gee, are there catagories for 'noble attempt' and 'heart's in the right
place'?

Or entries such as "New Israelis in stealth mode" (starfield in background,
nothing in foreground)?

I think I'd want a certificate that "these are Official GZG Stealth Minis".
Then I'd just need to make sure the bases have arcs marked.

If I can find my old Evil Empire(tm) flight bases, I can supply the prizes.
Similar to the black ones, but clear, ergo, just for the smaller classes.
;->=

You know, of course, judging would be mostly on the 'captions'.

I have to admit, the certificates would be trophy enough to work on good
ones...

Further thought--these would be perfect for the upcoming Cheese Game. I
can take them off their bases and put them around the table as Stealth
Shuttles. If you want to escape Impending Doom (tm), all you have to do is
find a shuttle...

Here are the differences: NI: you know the ships are there, you just can't see
them.

Bavarian: you know the ships are somewhere, but if the bases are here, you
know they're a diversion and the ships are really somewhere else.

Cheese Game escape shuttles: the shuttle may exist but you know that the
chance to escape is merely a cruel illusion.

Nope, no such thing, never was, never will be. Oh, I'm sorry, was someone
speaking?

However, Chris's idea would work with just the bases, a die roll, and insert
in SOMETHING into the base. 'Oh, my, that wasn't a shuttle, was
it?'

Runners up should get an 'improved stealth' ship, which doesn't
even have a flying base... :-)

btw, are you going to be at Colours this year? As much as I'd like to make use
of the special offers, I'd rather wait until I can actually see what I'm
buying.

Idea for cool ship design: Resin ships with a small LED at the tip of the
flying base, so the ship is lit from the inside. Then paint the surface of the
ship, leaving gaps for port holes and engines. Power it from a small watch
battery in the base.
