Was cruising along today and found these in the AT-43 line of minis.

I am venturing that they are going to scale up to make pretty nice heavy
walkers for 15mm SG or heavy PAs/light walkers for 25mm. They remind me
of the Traveller 2300 combat walkers.

You are right.

THat depends from what I am interested...:) Natural resources not concentrated
in a single site? A whole
habitable planet, whose eco-system will survive a single nuclear
detonation? A friendly refuelling post (hydrogen fueling at oceans or gas
giant) without interference? Such things would survive a nuclear bomb.

Both true things. A large population in a friendly environment is hard to
control, while smaller populations or vulnerable, fragile habitats would be
easier to control, even by smaller parties (and probably less prone to
resistance). There are interesting scenarios suggested in Flandry books by
Poul Anderson on the matter, an author always interested in the human part of
the story.

Yes, and probably lots of habitable (or easily terraformed) planets mean more
colonies (as the process is not costly)... so probably the value of a single
planet would be lower, after all.
> Is that a boast? ;-)
Alas, no, just rampant imagination:)

Everybody would need infrastructures, after the war, and revenue from local
production so, why ravage it all?:) And, even without reaching the excesses of
later Condottieri, such a situation would favor the creation of merc units,
with the habit to seriously fight up to a point (there would be incentives to
a winning fight and bad publicity for an early retreat, after all) and folding
up, as soon as the other guys looked like the winner... and the immediate
starting of a bout of commercial discussion about the ransoming of good
equipment and trained prisoners... (I think there is a nice depiction in
Pornelle's West of Eden:)
Best wishes

have to admit, the RAFM tank is seriously overpriced (as is the rest of that
line). Their Grav APC (go look at it) is just plain fugly.

The Grav Skiff (aka Traveller Air Raft) is a very simple design, but one that
is iconic to Traveller players and should be one Jon might really think about
doing producing a version of. I'm pretty sure Jon could do it for less than
$20.00 too. And FWIW, if he does, I'd make any seats removable separate casts.
The advantage of the flat bottom design is that you can choose to put 15mm
figs in it (Make it wide enough for two, base to base).

This is one I actually like as well. I'd mould it with a closed over bubble
cockpit, but something along those lines would be kind of neat.

Nice mouldings Jon. I too really like the look of the grav tank (and the APCs
aren't half bad either). Now if I could get you to do something close to a
Trepida... and an Astrin....

the record the Air/Raft is the base hull of the Grav Tank.

Jon does one already, not quite the same size, but there is one in the GZG
line. (V15-29A)

Before RAFM re-released them, the grav tanks were going for around
$100 a piece on eBay.
I thought for a while about getting one as I have three, and wanted four.
I have one of their Grav APCs. It was all that was available at the time, so I
can easily do without THEM.

Speaking of conspiracy theories, anyone think Jon has dug himself out of
all of his March Madness backlog? :-)

I'm sure he's got a fair amount of work done.
It looks like some of the images on the GZG store are working again, but I've
no idea how extensive the revamp was supposed to be.
T'is true, I were dumb...
As for Jon, I'd almost forgotten that tomorrow was 'all safeties off' day.
Heck, I'll be visiting the store to have a look.
