G'day,
How much cross coverage is there between here and the yahoo groups? I posted a
bunch of stuff from my ongoing fiction series over on the yahoo groups while
the list was down and wondered how many interested people would miss out if I
didn't repost here (maybe the solution for that stuff is just to email me and
say you'd like a copy).
Cheers

I haven't belonged to the GZG Yahoo groups in years.
For some reason Yahoo seems to get too many false bounce messages from
me, so I typically don't have Yahoo group messages e-mailed to me.
That means I check online, which means I tend to miss things in those groups i
don't visit regularly. Right now the only group I've been visiting with any
regularity is the Wild Talents group.

Sad to say very little. For some reason I have yet to understand many of the
core members here seem to have a dislike for the yahoo group. I see very
little cross posts. Which is sad as there are many people on the group who I
am sure would love to share in the great ideas that often flow through here.

Same here, though I'm still persisting... what's really annoying is when
Yahoo stops sending email due to a bounce that occurred *before* my latest
un-bouncing <sigh>

Your fiction is my favorite thing on the GZG list.
Closely followed by the sales of course.

Oerjan,
I am sorry you are having issues. Could you send me your Yahoo Name and if you
still have it, the error message. I would love to fix the issue if I can so
you can be part of the group as well.
Oh and Allan, I must have missed your post but if you feel like trying again
send me your Yahoo name as well. I understand when it is hard to be a part
that you loose interest. But I would love to have you on the group.
This goes for anyone else who may have had issues before.

Thanks, Daniel, but I'm not really interested. I'm on too many Yahoo groups as
it is, some of which I haven't visited in over six months.
I'd be interested if the e-mailing of messages worked. Because of the
bounce issues I'd have to read it on their web forum, and I'm afraid it would
just end up being yet another group I didn't check very often.
This is the reason I don't care for the idea of moving this list to a web
forum, by the way.
I know some of the technical guys are looking at getting this mailing list on
something more stable than Berkeley. It would probably be as a mailing list,
which is good. If it had to become a web forum I'd consider joining it as it
would be my only GZG contact.
To be quite honest, with no new game content in an awful long time (lots of
new miniatures of course, but I have plenty unpainted right now) and no local
game group I find my interests shifting elsewhere...
