That's okay, leave it in English. I'd certainly use English instead of
bothering with Arabic to say "may the fleas of a thousand camels nest in your
ears!" and "may jackals drool in your couscous, infidel dog!" and so forth.

Basileos, Basileus ton Rhomaioi, Sole Rightful Autocrat Among Men, Elect of
God, Sucessor of Constantine, Equal of the Apostles, God's Viceregent Among
the Stars, to Abdul, his most vile and insensate slave.
Refusing to submit to our rule, you call yourself sovreign. You seize and
distribute our treasure, you decieve our servants. You never cease to annoy us
with your bands of brigands. Have We not destroyed you Arabs? You say that you
trust in Allah; why then has he not delivered out of Our hand the New Levant
system, New Armenia, and Our colony on Mesopotamia? Could We not destroy also
Mecca and Mdina?

On the other hand, I might, as Don puts it "enjoy this just a little too

Perhaps I should have mentioned that one area of military history that I know
a bit about is the late Sassanian period of Persia. You have NO idea how many
jokes there were in old Persian about Narsus being the only Byzantine with any
balls. Or
A friend of mine is Georgian. Based on that sample, I'd say she's just the
right kind of crazy for that to still be true.

A Basileus who doesn't even know proper Greek? Must be an impostor! That
should be: Basileus ton Rhomaion

That and sending the entire Georgian Army on pilgrimage to Jerusalem with
banners unfurled and daring every Arab noble to try to levy tolls.

Depends on Classical or Medieval. Med. Greek degenerated a bit and lost some

Meanwhile the TR chuckles and lets two of it's worst enemies nuke each other.
