may have heard, there was a shooting incident at Fort Hood yesterday, where an
army Major opened fire on his fellow soldiers, the result being 12 dead and 31
wounded, including the soldier who precipitated the event.
Our own John Atkinson is based at Fort Hood, but I heard from him through
Facebook (useful for SOME stuff!) that he was on the opposite side of the base
during the shootings and is alive and well.
Just thought I'd let the list know.

Thoughts and condolences to everyone involved in what sounds like a horrible
incident.
