a fighter solution ideally for me would have two main characteristics: 1. no
recalculation of points,or modification of SSDs
2. extensions of current rules concepts and/or systems with fighter only
"cases" 3. can be dropped in and out as desired by players 4.. solution
involves strategy tradeoffs rather than design choices.

Fighter group "awacs" A given Fighter attack run (of unlimited number of
groups) require
illumination/assignment by a carrier's FCS to attack at full effect.

Fighter groups which are not guided target and resolve combat normally but do
half damage.(possibly do normal damage on second consecutive runs on the same
target, to account for acquisition)

Each non-carrier with two or more undamaged FCS may illuminate a
single target for a single fighter group in an attack run(alone or with other
groups) to allowa single group damage at full effect.

Each illumination consumes one FCS for the purposes of ship's targeting.
