It only weighs 7 tons, and its air-transportable -- you'd have to call
it Ogre Lite...

I work at Carnegie Mellon. About 6 months ago, I got in touch with a buddy
who's a sys admin at the robotics consortium. I took my 12 year old son to see
the Crusher and it's predecessors, among other robotic delights It's even
cooler than it looks.:)

An image google search on 'crusher vehicle army' returned this:

Amusingly, the first image is of said Crusher crushing a car...

"Six wheel, skid-steer vehicle" That description calls to mind the
moon buggies from Space:1999.
At 14000pounds, it will be bigger, but the skid-steer aspect clearly
indicates a vehicle that is not much longer than it is wide
For those that cannot call to mind a skid steer vehicle, those little Bobcat
loaders are skid steer. While there may be a suspension, the

Which were little 6-wheel Argocats, IIRC; same as The Banana Splits'
banana buggies (jeez, I'm showing my age here....), either built or
imported by Crayford in Kent, as I recall. Also available in 8-wheel
versions. Hull like a polythene bathtub, two-stroke engine, steered
by separate clutch/brake systems on each side's wheels. Fully
amphibious without preparation. As a kid I wanted one (a real one!)
SOOOOOO badly... ;-)

Jon they still sell then around here at the hunters supply store. If I went
duck hunting a little more often than once a decade I would consider buying
one......
