Does this mean that Japan and Britain are enemies in the Full Thrust universe?
:)

No. The Japanese territory is jealously defended by the NAC.

Ryan, Is that a fact? Where is that written up?

Added to these "Main players" are many other
power groups - the LLAR, PAU, Indonesian
Commonwealth, the Oceanic Union and many more -
plus several small states and independent
nations, such as The Netherlands, Free Cal-Tex,
New Israel (a colony around Epsilon Indi), Japan (technically "independent",
but jealously protected by the NAC) and others.

As a public service to the hard of understanding, would someone please explain
this supposition?

I dunno, Don, but could Ryan's comment have been ironic? It does seem to fly
in the face of an IJN that seems rather good of defending itself. However,
I'll wait on the answer to my question above...

I think there may be a subtle genre reference I'm missing.

For the record, I'm perfectly happy to leave India's status undetermined.

Sorry, all. Just read this; of course, I'm being tripped up with 'groppo'
history. *ahem*

I just noticed that the sovereign in the Tuffleyverse timeline and the
Holy Britainian Emperor from Code Geass have the same name - Charles.
So I postulated the characters from CG to the Tuffleyverse. The honours I
postulate to be most likely for the characters if the Iles hadn't fallen to
Napoleon. And I wouldn't be surprised if in the Tuffleyverse Japan there was a
very skilled pilot named Suzaku Kururugi.

Thanks, John! Haven't been keeping up with much new anime in years.

I gather from the Wiki blurb, no space fairing or battles? Always have an
ear out for that, especially with the mecha/frames toned down.
