I've made up a cheat sheet for use during FT games. I think it's pretty good
and useful to both experienced and newbie players, so long as their eyesight
is pretty good *wink*.

It's available in both PDF and OpenOffice format.

Why you great flaming....!!

Oh, CONSTRUCTIVE...

Haven't even looked at the format of the material, so not near ready to
discuss content, but two things immediately:

I realize it's now the Official Full Thrust, but perhaps a comment as to it
being up to Fleet Book, or even calling it Full Thrust 2.5?

Also, is there supposed to be material on page two other than the title?
Otherwise, replace 'See reverse for additional info' with, and include on
the other side, 'See reverse for how to keep an idiot busy.' ;->=

Looks pretty on the page, by the by. Thanks!

A very nice job, Tim. I only quickly glanced at it, but I have one comment.
The section on Beam Weapons doesn't mention the
limited PDS role of level-1 beams. You do mention the limited
anti-ship ability of the PDS, however.

<selective hearing> You called me great! *grin*

Yes, it is up to FB2 with nothing included from MT. I'll annotate that
on my site, but probably not on the cheat-sheet itself.

> Also, is there supposed to be material on page two other than the
Nope, that's part of the "work in progress" nature of it. I don't know what
I'm gonna put on the reverse side, but something's going there. When I finally
do put something useful on the 2nd page, I'll make the
greyed-out text black.

Thanks, and you're welcome.

Thanks.

I've added text about the PDS ability for B1s.

I've also removed the 2nd page from the PDF and added "v2.5" to the
title text and a strike-out line to the "See reverse" text as a result
of Doug's comments.

If anyone has a better/clearer graphic for SV screen nodes, I'd be happy
to substitute it in.

Hey,

nice QRS there.. it seems though that the OO file needs two of the gifs:

pulsetorpedo_1.gif and needle_1.gif is both reported as missing from
SSDGraphics directory.

For readability you could try to swith to arial or verdana:)

Otherwise - keep up the good work!

Some comments to the updated version:

Interceptors: The +1 also applies against missiles.

Attack fighters: Natural rolls of '6' (ie., before the +1 is added)
allow
re-rolls. No mention of how screens interact with the attack. (lvl-1
negate
rolls of '3' since they're modified to '4'; lvl-2 screens negate rolls
of '3' and make rolls of '5' and '6' inflict only 1 pt of damage.)

Torpedo fighters: you've used the MTversion, not the updated rule on FB2p4.

The B1-as-point-defence rules are wrong (rolls of 6 only kill *one*
fighter
and allow a re-roll).

The K1-as-point-defence rule (FB2 p.9) is missing. (Rolls of 1-4 miss,
rolls of 5-6 kill 1 fighter.)

Might be useful if the Pulser and Sub-Munition Pack descriptions
specified how the d6s are to be interpreted. (They fire beam dice, not
straight
D6s.)

"one DP to ARMOR or HULL" and "All dmg to ARMOR (if any)" mean exactly the
same thing.

Nice job, Tim. I'd like to see a summary of cinematic and vector movement
procedures on page two.

Your Quick Reference Sheets should come in real handy for introducing new
players to the game. They always get this glazed look when I drag out four
rulebooks. :-)

Oerjan:

I have corrected/clarified the interceptors, attack fighters, torpedo
fighters, B1s as PD, K1 as PD, Pulser and SMP as beam dice.

Claus P.:

I have converted those images to embedded bitmaps, so it should open up just
fine now.

I also installed more fonts on my linux box and have switched it over the
Arial. Required some finagling to get the text on the right to fit and line
up, so I don't wanna hear any other font requests! *grin*

I have uploaded the new files, anyone interested can get to them by
