Hi folks,
Sorry, bit of a lurker here, so /delurk
I've read snippets of info about FMA and that theres a set of play test rules.
Im very keen on the GZG rule sets, and was looking about for a very small
scale but detailed skirmish game (just got no space for bigger at the
moment!), FMA seems like an obvious starting point.
Would it be possible for someone to send me a copy of the latest play test
rules, so I could have a read and a game?
Apologies if I am asking for something thats not available, but I just cant
find much info out about FMA (yes Ive googled).
Thanks in advance Stuart

Try the list archives. They're horrible out of date but have *more* than
enough info to get started.

AFAIK that's the most recent, indeed only, version available to the public. It
would be very naughty for anyone on the playtest list to send you anything.
Ahhh ok. The originals seem a little rough, but can always add to them i
guess. I was hoping there would be an ammended set with some of the results of
6 years of play testing;)
Thanks Stuart

There have been significant improvements, but they are not yet ready for any
kind of beta release that I am aware of. Much of the test list focus is on
getting FT3 out the door right now. :-) However, if you are able to make
it to ECC IX in Feb, there will be one, possibly two FMAS playtest games going
on.

Thanks, i found some postings from 1999 by Jon that are the original alpha
rules.
Is this the most recent? Or could someone on the playtest list send me
something newer?
Thanks Stuart

Those rules are rough but they've provided a bit of fun for me at the ECCs
over the last four years or so. Think of the alpha as a construction kit. No
two people have taken that set and ran the same kind of game.
