Hey everybody,
I've got the Con Reports up at the GZG-ECC website:
http://www.warpfish.com/gzgecc/gzgecc8/aar.shtml
Included are all the con reports posted to the gzg-l list, the quote
board, the con booklet, an 11 minute video covering the awards presentation
Saturday Evening, photos from a whole bunch of people, and
the winners of the Miniatures Contest, even including a photo. (8-)
Any problems, anybody want me to take any links down, remove posts, etc. etc.
etc., let me know.
I also have approximately 25 minutes worth of video taken during "Weight of
Command" which, sadly, appears to have no real unifying theme or purpose. I
haven't had time yet to sit down and try to
actually edit the video into something coherent -- if anybody
actually wants the raw footage, let me know and I can put it up somewhere for
you.
GZG-ECC IX is only 354 days away! Mark your calendars now! (8-)
Thanks, JGH

Yummie! Pictures!
What are those orange ships on the manesseh photos? Scratchbuilts?
And I really like the small dld defense stations in the miniatures contest.
It will take some time to look at ALL those pictures though:-)

Great photos. Out of curiosity, for the Weight of Command and the other 25mm
scale games, what was being used as the civilian vehicles?

For the Zombies games, Damo and I mostly use diecast toy cars from Maisto
(available at Walmart and Kaybee among other places). The scale is
variable -- basically whatever will fit in their packaging -- but is
generally about railroad "O" scale (1:43) or thereabouts.
Online I've ordered from Diecast Direct (www.diecastdirect.com). 1:43 is a tad
large for 25mm and 28mm, but looks okay for wargaming. 1:48 or 1:50 would be
better, but the selection isn't there.
Cheers,

Yes, they are Agni figures. The blue ships are Javelins. The orbital space
stations are Galoob Micro Machines Imperial Probe droids with their
legs pulled off and attached to a base. :-)
I would be willing to take the Weight of Command Video and do something with
it.

Why thank you -- I have been very pleased with everything I have from
DLD.
And here are the Manesseh ships:

yeah, I wouldn't mind looking at it too. Do you need space? I could host it.

Oh, I can host it, I'm just embarassed to admit that I took this video. When I
mean random, I mean random. Plus, you get to hear my annoying
laugh at various times within the vocal track. (8-) (The major problem
was that I couldn't spend enough time at the table to get a feel for the flow,
because I was getting my butt kicked over at the 'Bad Blood' table

Amendment -- it's a HUGE file upload.
I'll let people know when it's ready. (8-)

Further Amendment -- I'll break it back down to the original
files. It's just too damned big. (The RAR just finished compressing, and gave
me something on the order of 1.3 GB.)
So, there will be 13 files, ranging from 20 MB up to 250MB, and it's all raw
footage.
Thanks, JGH
