gzg ds2: firing through other units

I am totally new to DS2. Just read the rules and am painting up my first Mech
Inf Platoon (Jap Corp Rangers!). Can the RFAC or other weapons on the MICV
fire over a friendly inf unit in front of it? i.e. provide support fire for
the embarked inf unit.
