Does anyone know a good place in North America to get Dirtside II. All local
game shops are sold out and no distributor I've talked to can get it in. Does
anyone in NA have some stockpiled copies?

Don't know if any stores over there may still have copies on the shelf, but
we're reprinting it at the moment. Geo-Hex has been out of stock for a
while, which is why distributors can't get any from them right now, and we're
almost out of them here too, so we haven't been able to send an interim supply
to keep GH going. The reprint will be done soon, so they WILL be available
again if you can't find one now.

I would go to the Geo-Hex web page (http://www.geohex.com). Geo-Hex is
the North American distributer of GZG items. It has an E-mail link.
Try KR at GeoHex. They have the distribution rights in the US.

That's good, because I've like SG2 so much I want to get DS2 as well. It's
extremely frustrating to want to give my hard earned money to someone in
exchange for a product, and not have the product available. (Of course, I
assume its equally frustrating for the producer to not be able to acquire my
money, thus making it THEIR hard earned money... grin). Why not put a quick
post to the list once the reprint is done?
Keep up the good work, and keep the presses running.

To be fair, a lot of mail-order places and items done through mail-order
take about that time period (though usually they quote 2-3 weeks). I
just
ordered some mountaineering boots from Vasque and was quoted a 2-3 week
delivery time; they arrived in just over 2. I ordered crampons from an
outdoors company in Canada, and was quoted a 2-4 week (or more depending
on customs) and was stunned to get them a shade over a week after placing the
order.
Unless things are shipped priority mail, they do take time, on the order of
weeks. Obviously I don't know your experiences, but the above, plus
others I've left uncited (which include game-related items), have been
mine.

My wife ordered SGII for me for Christmas from a mail order place, and they
sent the rest, but not the book, since they couldn't get it. I've had it on
order now at a local hobby store for 3 weeks or so (maybe more). KR even
called the store and let them know who to order from, but when I checked last
Saturday, they didn't have it still.
I just called, and they still can't find it. He says he's going to try a
distributor in California, but has to have enough stuff to order from them. I
told him I'd try something else.
Someone just got Full Thrust from him, apparently. I wonder if he'd give my
name to whoever that was.
Try www.geohex.com they sell it through mail order.
There's one problem with Geohex though. They are so damn slow!!! I mean
it takes 2-4 weeks to get stuff and I've ordered like three times now. I
guess they don't keep a lot of that stuff in stock or something. Being the
nineties and all, you usually get stuff from mail order in two or three days,
but not Geohex.

(You know what they say about us Americans: "I want it now!")

Whereas (as already posted) DSII is out of stock till we get the reprints
shipped over to the US, there should be NO problems getting hold of SGII

we did a massive (in relative terms) print run on this, and GeoHex has loads.
If any store tells you it can't get them, and they're not prepared to hassle
their distributor over it (because this is almost certainly where the problem
lies) then either they or you should go to GeoHex direct.
Frustrating Thomas? Try ordering all the GZG games and only getting "More
Thrust" and finding the others all out of stock. I had this tantalizing
suplement for 6 months, before I finally got my copy of "Full Thrust". Good
Luck! :)
